Just two negatives - I wish I could remove the nubs (that join the units together) on the top unit, and the company sticker on the unit was a bear to get off - I don’t know why companies put them on the unit like that! I’ve been looking for storage options for a while, mostly for books but having the option for other things as well, and a dresser was too bulky while a book case was too narrow and tall. This is perfect. It’s well made and looks great. The back is pressed board with a wood laminate and there is definitely an order to install the back panels. There are no pre-drilled holes for the back panels, and while I did it through sheer willpower and determination, a power screwdriver would be helpful. This bookshelf came assembled, however, one note to be aware of. The shelves were stacked at the bottom, inside of the bookshelf. There was a small piece of plywood on each side that was nailed into the bookshelf that prevented the movement of the shelves. For shipping, that obviously kept them from getting damaged, but getting the plywood out was frustrating. Taking out each nail left a small hole on the outside of the bookshelf. It was not easy taking those pieces of wood out holding the shelves in. Past that, the bookshelf is fine. It is very sturdy and the shelves adjust in to the slots very easy.. Laurie. Blaine, WA. This is a solid and well constructed piece of furniture. Definitely furniture for life quality! It was also well protected during shipping (no damage) and the white glove delivery was top-notch. My issue is with Wayfair for not posting pictures of all of the colors. We ordered the smokey blue oak expecting a blue gray. It's definitely more light blue. We'll make it work--again, it's a top-notch piece of furniture. But I am super bummed about the color and wish we had ordered the medium oak instead. Good looking, high quality wood. It fits perfectly in a nook we have, and completes the room. I like having the cabinet on the bottom for hidden storage. I really like the look of this cabinet! I got it to house my purses. It fit perfectly into my entry closet, although I had to finish constructing it inside the closet, which was tricky.
