Once together we realized that we needed a little more support for our foam mattress because the metal slats were not wide and had to much space between them to give good support. The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort.
