Well this piece I think was package pretty well FedEx couldnt damage it which is good thing. My opinion the overall quality of the material used was not of the best that could have been used probably in my opinion but the veneer on it is very thin. This is a really nice piece of solid furniture! It took absolutely forever to assemble and came in a million pieces. I do think if you used an electric screwdriver it would greatly reduce assembly time but the worry is that it might split the wood. It is very heavy and definitely requires two people to move the delivery box. The instructions were incredibly clear and complete making it very easy to follow. Only one drawer doesn't run smoothly so I'll have to redo that and see if it can be fixed - so I gave it 4 stars because of that. All of the tools you need to assemble are included in the box so it really is complete for anyone. Does seem to have a plastic wax coating on it so not sure it's actually wood or just a composite.. Really happy with this dresser. Not gonna lie, putting it together took a while, but it wasn't difficult, just time-consuming. Once everything was assembled, it looked really nice. We ordered this for a bedroom remodel. It was super protected in shipping and so beautiful and sturdy. My only complaint is that, after using for a period of time, we noticed the center was not raised enough and seemed to be slightly sagging. All corner posts were already adjusted as low as possible and the center was raised, so we added a small piece of wood under the middle to lift it a bit more and it is straight/level again.. Kristen. I saw a lot of mixed reviews mentioning misaligned drawers and bad pre-drilled holes, but that wasnt my experience at all. While assembly was definitely time-consuming and tedious, it was pretty straightforward, and everything aligned perfectly for me. The kit does come with a Phillips head screwdriver, but like most pre-packed furniture tools, the handle isnt very comfortable. If you dont have a nicer screwdriver already, Id recommend getting one because your hand will hurt after driving so many screws. I used a cordless screwdriver, which made driving screws into the areas without pre-drilled holes a lot easier, though you could definitely manage without one. The color and dimensions are 100 accurate to the product description online. However, as other reviews have noted, the drawers are on the shallow side. More importantly, the drawer slides are set up so the drawers do not pull out all the way. There is a good 4 to 5 inches per drawer that stays inside the unit when fully opened. I think this is probably a safety feature to prevent tipping, and for my needs—storing clothing like sweatshirts and sweatpants—it really doesnt matter. That said, I would not recommend this unit if you want to store something like craft supplies, as reaching smaller items out of the back of the drawers would get annoying.
