I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. Very solid piece! The measurements are accurate but it's visually very large in a small space. Purchased in walnut and the color is exactly like the photo.
