The first desk took us about 5 hours, and even knowing exactly what we were doing, the second still took about 4 hours. I would absolutely recommend having two people, plenty of space, and a whole lot of patience. That being said, the instruction manual was surprisingly clear and helpful. There are simply a LOT of pieces and steps involved. Once assembled, though Worth it. They look like much more expensive pieces of furniture and completely transformed our homeschool room. I especially love all of the drawers, cabinets, shelving, and built-in desktop outlets. If you’re willing to survive the assembly process, I highly recommend them. It is painted with a chalk type paint, very flat, no sheen, there are 2 pieces, the hutch and bottom drawers, it is very heavy and solid, took 3 men to lift the hutch onto the bottom drawers. There are no holes for electrical/cable cords, we had to drill those ourselves. The cabinet was missing 2 shelves as well as 1 drawer with putty filler, there was a mistake when they drilled the holes for the hardware pulls. This piece arrived with full service delivery and the delivery team was very careful and unpacked and removed all packaging and was courteous. They placed the furniture exactly as I requested. The color on this matched my other furniture perfectly as I ordered the white and it is not the bright white it is a calmer off white cream color. It is a perfect size and looks great.
