More solid than others we've seen. The wood is decent quality, and the whole bed feels very secure. A bit of a chore to put together, but just in time and effort, rather than intricacy or difficulty. Probably a 45-minute job for 2 people. Watch your knees on the footboard, the knobs are just at the right height to give a six-footer a painful knock right inside the kneecap if you're not careful (or not watching, like me!).
