The one significant challenge I had with it is that I can't really figure out the right way to use it. It comes with a little wire sticking out of it that I believe to be a motion sensor but the unit itself did not come with any directions. I'm guessing that you place a bowl of candy on top of the button and that when anyone reaches in, it will activate the sensor which will lead to the witch starting its animatronics. My kids thought it was a hoot so I think it's a win for them. When displayed, it looks sturdy and well made, while being lightweight and low profile. It required 3 AAA batteries and a shall screw driver to remove the battery cover. There is a switch in the back with 3 settings: on/off/sensor. Multicolored LEDs light up in the windows and door while a spooky tune plays. When in the “on” position, it will cycle through the song on repeat until it is manually switched off. There is no way to adjust the sensor or volume. The things I dont like about this is it makes a clicking noise as the pumpkin rises. I dont think its supposed to do that so I dont know if I got a defective on our what but it's un appealing. It seems cheaply made so probably has a bunch of plastic gears. Another draw back for me is that the pumpkin requires 4 AA batteries while the witch take 2 AA batteries. This TV is Awesome! You turn the knob like you are changing the channel and it starts up. The static at the beginning is just like an old TV and the popping silhouette/flashing lights is so creepy. I’m using it as a prop in a Haunted House and it’s absolutely perfect. The legs were a bit tricky as I thought they had to be pushed in, but if you look closely the each have a little slat on them where each one has a specific spot on the TV to fit.
