Keep your mattress height in its lowest position when using your crib as a tot bed. Another name for this type of 4-in-1 crib is ‘high back' crib, meaning it has a back or headboard that is higher than the other three sides. A high back crib makes a beautiful full-size bed because of the nice high back which will ultimately serve as a headboard when attached to a standard metal bedframe (frame sold separately).
