Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. This desk is beautiful, seems well made, and easy to assemble. I am experiencing some tilting when I rest my elbows on it during meetings, but that may be my lack of skill in assembly? The sit/stand mechanism did go a little crazy on its own one day, continuing to go up and down repeatedly, but I unplugged it for a few minutes and plugged it back in and it seems fine now. Also the up/down control screen just went completely dark and unresponsive one day. Again, unplugged and plugged back in and it seems fine. I read that this may be due to interference with other device frequencies, which is fair because I just moved into a new space and there has been a lot of device installation and setup lately.
