We found it very difficult to find wet rated ceiling fans for our outdoor location. This fan os exactly what we were looking for. Initially the main attachment hardware that came was bent but wayfair quickly sent out a replacement that was not. Very easy process to get fixed. Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. The package arrived quickly and intact. The instructions were clear and easy to assemble. Everything went together very smoothly and quickly. **Plug In only, not directly wired. I made a mistake and ordered this without realizing it wasn’t direct wire installation. It is gorgeous and you can choose black or brown blades color to show. It has a nice extension and feels very well made. If you can plug it in on your patio I’d definitely recommend ordering this fan. It looks modern and elegant and comes with a remote.
