This is a great hamper. The material is very soft! Its not scratchy like most wicker furniture and its held up pretty good over the years. I have had to reweave a few spots from my cats clawing at it but its still sturdy, large and has very strong fabric for the dividers. This is not your ordinary laundry hamper. It is made from real bamboo and is such a rich brown color. My husband just loves it. It is very well made, the inner cloth liner fits snugly over thr edge and the band of bamboo holds it on so nicely. You dont even see the cloth liner when the lid is closed. The assembly is tedious…beware. I must say that it was worth the trouble, though the stickers pulled the finish off in some places and a dowel had the glue set while it was too high and it punched through the side. (There should be no need to use a rubber mallet!) Fortunately it was way worth it in the end.
