Beautiful shading on these! I bought two. I have a GORGEOUS pair of hand-carved mahogany chairs by Maitland-Smith, that were still selling for $1,500 each, brand new, on Perigold, when I discovered mine hiding out in a drab corner of a thrift store near me! They were in pristine condition except for the seat upholstery that was a simple beige moire taffeta that had some grease or water stains on them. I got BOTH chairs "as is" for less than $45 TOTAL! I intended to have them professionally reupholstered, but was running out of time and money due to some unexpected expenses, and with the holiday season approaching. I bought a pair of these pelt shaped small rugs and played around with the shapes on the chairs. I was able to wrap them over the chair seats and wrap the shapes of the pelt around the two chair back supports neatly, and without cutting the pelt at all. I used an aggressively glued, double-sided tape I bought online, and carefully TAPED these faux fur pelts to the existing taffeta upholstery. At some later date I can ALWAYS have the seats properly reupholstered, but for now these are working out nicely and holding up, and I actually am getting a kick out of the asymmetrical look of the faux fur hides on my kind of Game of Thrones chairs! This tan faux sheepskin for area is gorgeous. It is a very very light cream color, a little darker than ivory with gold accent. I am using it as an accent rug in a small dining area in the kitchen. It also mixes well with silver toned hardware.
