This potting bench works perfectly for me. It fits well within the space and is quite sturdy. It took the assembler about 45 minutes to put it together on my back porch, where it is now. So I am leaving it and considering painting it after a couple of years to freshen it up, rather than right now when it's new. The little plastic sink unit is nice and easily comes out to fill and/or dump its contents. The drawer is nice for items you want near by but out of the weather. This is a great piece of outdoor working furniture. It is made from cedar and smells wonderful when unpacking and putting together. A bit hard to assemble. Awkward and I found myself standing on my head. There are many many fasteners and they do not go in easily, but do provide strength. The sheet metal top is just strong enough. I found a small crink in the top one after only moderate use. One must not place too heavy an object on the shelving. But the price is quite moderate and I would say this is worth it and a practical choice for the budget minded. One more thing . . . it is just large enough. Would fit in a small space, but doesn't allow an expansive surface for working. There is no lip or edge to keep object from sliding off the table, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. It is easy to wipe off excess potting soil by just sending it overboard, but there is nothing to keep small objects from falling to the ground unintentionally. I bought this vinyl potting table because my old wooden one was starting to fall apart. Assembly of this table may require more tools than the instructions say, just be aware. The assembly is pretty easy, mostly, except we ran into a significant snag. The table-top assembly did not fit in the space between the front and back legs. It was too wide. We had to unscrew the front legs from the side supports, move it out nearly half-an-inch, and then screw it back together. There was just enough length on the side supports to do this, but now there is a gap in the legs I just know the spiders will call home. We are still planning some kind of fix for this. But, once we got past this, the table feels very sturdy. There is plenty of work area and the upper shelf has enough backing that I think small herb pots will not be in danger of falling off. The potting bench, once put together, is quite nice…BUT. We had to buy different screws to connect the shelves with the hooks to the larger bench…the ones provided were approximately 1/2” too short. Leaving a second review as I don’t see my first one listed This product is made of really inexpensive pinewood with a very light spray paint is it a scratch and comes off when you wipe It’s listed as an outdoor potting bench when it actually rained water fell through the gaps of the countertop ended up in my drawer this took me an hour and a half to put together and I recommend highly if you want to last more than one summer just give it a varnish coat. It will extend the life of this piece and also make it waterproof. Overall, it’s a nice piece.
