The bed is nice, but I wish I had paid attention to the height of the headboard- you can even see it if you stand pillows up against it. I think it seems sturdy and seems to be sturdy. Assembly was a bit difficult because initially we ended up putting legs on the wrong side and the side rails upside down. This could be avoided with better labeling. Overall we are happy with the bed, but wish I could buy an extension to make the headboard taller. For reference this is the chestnut color option- I think the listing for this bed has the driftwood color pictured in both the driftwood and chestnut photos. The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase.
