Greek Mythology Bookend

The Greek Princess Head Fragment brings a museum-gallery moment to a console or bookshelf, with a sculptural fragment that looks discovered rather than made. Crafted from composite with convincingly timeworn breaks, it’s mounted on a simple metal base for a collected, traditional feel. Style it solo as an object of interest, or group it with other accents to build an old-world vignette.

Simply stunning. Looks amazing on bookshelf, perfect scale. Not cheap but worth every penny as it's expensive looking.. Linda. Boulder, CO. Sun Sep 01 2024

Our grand-scale bust is sculpted in painstaking detail from the museum original, which was discovered on April 20, 1863, in the villa of Liva at Prima Porta, near Rome. From his distinctively handsome features to the detailed, bas-relief breastplate armor, this gallery statue has fascinated generations. An investment in classic European sculpture, this impressive life-sized sculptural.

Caracalla fancied himself a military genius, the reincarnation of Alexander the Great. Their impressively, life-size sculptural bust is cast in quality designer resin.

This bronzed statue is an essential addition to any collection of Greek mythology art. It depicts the Gorgon Medusa as half woman and half snake, with a bow and arrows and a lethal gaze. Her hair was made of living venomous snakes, and looking directly at her turned onlookers to stone. Made of cast resin, she stands 9 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches long, and 4 1/2 inches wide. The bronzed finish is accented by subtle use of color, emphasizing the amazing detail in the piece. The bottom of the base is lined with velour to prevent it from damaging delicate surfaces so you can display it on bookcases, shelves, or tables in your home or office. This statue makes a wonderful gift that is sure to be admired.

The patina of antique ivory is dramatically carved as symbols of clouds and water which we cast in our bases of the Dragon bookends. The design suggestion we have is to use the dragons as small sculptures or as a pair framing your collected books.
