Arrived a day late but was well packed. Laid out in a way that the top pieces are the ones you need to assemble first. No digging for the next piece. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The firebox was less than we hoped for. The flames were not of high quality like we've had on a different electric fireplace we had, and it seems like it consists of a bulb inside a spinning drum to get the effect, which would be OK, but the spinning drum makes more noise than you'd expect and detracts from the whole effect. Summary: The mantel is awesome. The firebox, much less than awesome. Wish I could replace just the firebox with something better. I was looking for smaller electric fireplaces to fit within a space I have when you enter my home. I also wanted something on the slimmer side that wouldn’t protrude out from the wall too much. I searched for a while and took my time until I came across these and felt they would be the best fit for what I had in mind. Be sure you remove the thin packing material beneath the faux logs as directed in the instructions - I see it showing in several reviews finished photos, and it's an easy step to miss.
