I absolutely LOVE this bookshelf! I ordered the version with the gold accents, and it looks exactly like the photo. Maybe even better in person! It’s such an elegant piece and really elevates the room. Assembly was surprisingly straightforward and took me a little over an hour. One thing I really appreciated was that the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and every piece was labeled. (That’s honestly pretty hit-or-miss with furniture from Wayfair, so it made the process much less stressful!) Just keep in mind that you will need a drill for assembly. Overall, I’m beyond happy with this purchase. I chose not to use the pieces that come with it to drill into the wall for added safety and stability, seeing as I have no children and therefore had no need for it. However, even without the support screws in the wall… it still feels sturdy, looks beautiful, and was well worth the price. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product! I like the design. For anyone that has books or dvd's it maybe hard for them to prop up alone without support. Only issues is the packers at the warehouse or manufacture packed it with scuffs in the black paint on multiple parts. I tried to hide them toward the back side. I would send it back for a replacement but Wayfair charges for shipping it back to the price of the item. The carriers beat up the package during transit for sure.
