This was initially going to be a 1 star review because when the bookcase arrived, every shelf and the bottom of the bookcase was damaged. I changed it to 4 stars because of how great the product support has been. I submitted the issue to wayfair and they put me in touch with the manufacturer, who offered to send a replacement if I sent the damaged one back. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning such a large item so I asked for a partial refund and they offered 25 back, which I felt like was fair. They also responded every time in a timely manner. So while the product did arrive damaged, customer service was excellent and this experience won’t deter me from ordering from wayfair again.. This shelf is really nice. Very sturdy, easy to accessorize and looks great from all angles. Highly recommended for any decor. Easy to put together. It is heavy and we have young grandchildren, so we did secure it to the wall. While it does come with screws to secure it, they were to small safe we got better ones.. Judy. Thu Sep 17 2026

The color and style are perfect in our bedroom, however the first try arrived damaged and trying to re-box it in the original cut-apart, damaged box was not fun. The replacement arrived about a month after the initial, damaged shelf and is in good shape. This is the second time we have ordered a wood product that arrived damaged. I like the final result this time though. Last time the replacement console table was worse than the first one!. Ruth. Franklin, TN. Sat Sep 19 2026

I had to cancel the bookcases that come with the middle unit because they kept delaying the delivery date. Also, the middle unit comes in two boxes, A and B. One of the boxes has no tools in it, so when you open the 1 box and you take all the pieces out, don’t go thinking that the tools are missing because more than likely they’re in the other box. In terms of the two additional bookshelves that go on each side of the middle unit, I don’t know about that because I never received those. But for a second I thought was missing tools until I opened the other box, so just remember that the middle unit comes as box A and B. That said, it took some time to put together, but it’s pretty straightforward. Just make sure you pay attention to the direction of which the pieces go. Also, you WILL NEED someone to help you put the top on the bottom because you can’t do it yourself, even if you have the strength to pick it up, you still need someone to help you line up the nails on part A into the holes on part B once you put both together. And remember, this is from box A and box B, which is impossible to do on your own. I already tried. Unless you get on a ladder and have a mirror or some kind of concoction you will simply not be able to do it without risking tearing up the wood. So needless to say it’s a two man job to put the two pieces together. But it will be beautiful in the end. And I plan to get my other two book cases somewhere else or some similar ones from Wayfair I just got tired of waiting. ). Erin W.. MD. Fri Oct 09 2026
