I was looking for a comforter set that had throw pillows included which is why I bought this. I was thrilled when the comforter was large enough to have good overhang on both sides of our California King. I also liked that the throw pillows were very firm, as I cannot sleep without a small “hug” pillow. The gray was too solid for my tastes so I got throw pillows covers and a duvet cover on wayfair as well (pictured) but I like that I have a more formal/traditional thing I can fall back on if I need a change with a simple removal of a colorful outer layer. I looked for some time for the perfect duvet cover and just couldn't find anything I likes. Was trying for a bit of a old-time/country/industrial look and nothing felt right until I found this one. It's perfect - goes well with my black and white scheme without being too significant of a patter. Great back drop of whatever else I want to do. It's nice and heavy - workmanship is great. Feels like it's going to last for a long time, which is good, because it was definitely on the higher side of what I was planning on spending, but think it will be worth it in the long run. It's gorgeous and very soft! It's not very thick but it's warm enough for me to fall asleep and then not get too hot while I'm sleeping. I have a king size bed and we got a California king comforter, in hopes it would be very big for the bed and have plenty of fabric that we aren't fighting for it overnight, and with the dogs. Very pretty, however, it came with a lot of creases that I can not get out. Because its a dry clean only and also you cant iron it the creases are staying in. The fabric is very heavy and stiff. So, not a very good comforter for cuddling up with. More for decoration than sleeping with. Just purchased a hand held steamer with the hopes that I can get the wrinkles out.
