This double sliding shower door features a frameless design that glides smoothly in either direction. The glass is surprisingly thick and beautiful. The handles and tracks are sturdy and thick enough. It came unbroken (better than the toilet I ordered last month!) and the pieces are all here. I'm debating whether to tackle this myself or hire a handyman. But it looks beautiful and I'm afraid any issues will be my own installation mistakes from here on. Just put it up. Did it almost all myself,and as a first timer. Just needed my 13 year old to screw the wheels into the 2nd door while I held it up. Instructions suck of course, but I watched a couple videos by people putting in similar ones. Made a few minor mistakes along the way, but all were fixable. Ended up looking great, and fitting PERFECTLY. Just had to measure 5 times and cut... twice in some cases. But always started conservative. You DEFINITELY need a power cutting tool, not a hacksaw, on the top bar. I bought steel cutting discs for my grinder and even that took 3 batter charges. I tried a hacksaw for a few minutes and it hardly made a notch in it. That would take all week. Here's a tip...if any risk of missing the wood studs, add more wood in the wall before tiling. This frameless sliding shower door met all of our expectations and was exactly what we envisioned to complete our shower. The glass and hardware are heavy-duty, well-made, and give the bathroom a clean, high-end look. The door slides effortlessly and smoothly, and the installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. While the brushed bronze finish isn’t an exact match to Delta’s champagne bronze fixtures, it’s very close and blends in nicely. One tip for installation we used the cardboard packaging it came in to protect the glass while installing it in the shower, which worked perfectly to help prevent scratches or accidental damage. Great glass panel, very heavy and clear. Before starting install, highly recommend getting the correct drill bits for going through the tile. Overall it’s a nice door and I’m happy with it so far. The directions are very poor and not clear at all. The wall anchors that came with the door were to small after drilling through the tile and I had torun to the hardware store to get a bigger better anchors. This double sliding door is one giant heavy beast, probably because of the 14” thick 2 glass door panels and the heavy duty hardware. It’s a beautiful unit but I really didn’t think it through. My shower is a fiberglass shell and because my house is over 100 years old, we don’t know yet if there are intact studs behind the shell. With the weight of this, you MUST have studs (or something equally string) to support the weight. When my installer makes time for me to see if this is doable, I will update. Ursula. Spokane, WA.
