This handcrafted steel bell has a contemporary charm and a great tone. This handcrafted, wind-activated bell, with its bold tone and design, functions nicely as a welcome bell at any entrance to your home or garden. They tone their bells to unite two important ways the instrument vibrates. One is the sound of the bell itself and the other is the hollow chamber inside the bell that acts like an organ pipe. The slots on the sides of the bell are the secret to this unique coupling. The result is a rich sound with much depth and beauty. This steel ball has been coated with a handsome, durable finish, so you can enjoy it for years to come. Hang your Heroic Large Wind Chime in a breezy spot and let it play in the wind.

The Heroic Windbell™ Wind Chime is a very nice chime. Made with quality metal material and the sound of the chime is beautiful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is extremely heavy. I bought it to hang on a shepards hook by our pool but it is way too heavy. We will need to get a strong mounted hook to support its weight. Overall very happy because it is a uniquie item.. Bonny. Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. HOW IT ALL BEGAN. In 1979, the first Woodstock Chime was created by GRAMMY® Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympus, a 7th century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympus was the first Woodstock Chimes Wind Chimes and is still one of our bestselling wind chimes. The music made by Chimes is perfectly authentic because it's tuned to real scales and melodies heard throughout the world from ancient times to the present. The rich, pure sound quality comes from premium materials, expert design and fabrication methods and of course, precise tuning. The length of each tube is honed and the sound is checked using an electronic tuning system to ensure the note is correct and the sound is pure. Some call this precision tuned and some call it musically tuned.

This is a larger version of their best-selling turquoise chime. The enchanting sound of this wind chime is the result of a special tuning using the Golden ratio. this ratio, discovered by the ancient Greeks, can be found throughout nature. Turquoise gets its beautiful blue-green color from copper and aluminum. It is a process that takes tens of millions of years. In many native american languages, the translation for the word turquoise is "Sky-stone." the color turquoise contains the growth quality of green and the communication quality of blue. Inspired by the rich beauty of this attractive union, Woodstock chimes blended colorful beads with a faux turquoise wind-catcher to create their beautiful turquoise chimes.
