The real wood, water-based stain panel design gives this privacy screen a stylish look in any yard. We recommend applying a stain every 6 months to maintain optimal color. Transparent or semi-transparent exterior stains will maintain the natural wood look, while solid stains will cover more of the natural wood grain. If the product goes longer than recommended without staining, it will need to be sanded and may require a semi-solid or solid stain. Our powder-coated aluminum posts prevent rusting and provide stability to your screen. This screen is no-dig and very easy to install without tearing up your yard or leaving large holes behind.

Installation was very easy, instructions are accurate. The wood is high quality but I suggest wearing gloves as the stain is very pungent when first opening the box. I had to dig a hole for the posts first as our ground is full of rocks. The metal posts are fragile and will bend and twist if your ground is not soft and has no rocks. Once installed, it is very stable and feels firmly in place. The strong smell went away after a couple hours outside. I’m purchasing a second one to extend it! Love this privacy fence!!. Tissa. These are really nice privacy screens. They are a nice design and provide a nice amount of screening. The paint is plenty thick and has a nice powder coat finish to it, which helps in the protection of the paint. The Hartford Privacy Screen is a stylish solution to enclose, hide, or conceal ugly trash bins or pesky air conditioning units. This DIY kit comes with three unassembled privacy fence panels that can be configured in a U or L shape. Please allow for roughly 90 minutes of assembly and installation time for your Hartford Screen. Once assembled, each individual panel measures 4ft in height by 3.6ft in width. When assembled in a U configuration, perfect for concealing air conditioning units, the total assembled dimensions are 48.5in H x 40.25in W x 43.4in L. If you prefer to use this product to conceal trash bins in an L configuration, the total assembled dimensions are 48.5in H x 86.75in W x 43.4in L. This product was designed with sufficient space between the slats to provide efficient airflow while concealing A/C units and the pre routed assembly holes allow for perfect slat placement. Spacers are included with your purchase that make it easy to assemble the screen’s rails. The no-dig installation is as simple as using a mallet to drive the included rust-free metal ground stakes through the angled brackets and into the ground. Pop on the metal stake caps and you’re good to go. Included decorative post caps are the perfect final touch to complete your screen. The Hartford is made from premium grade vinyl making this screen virtually maintenance free and both UV and rust resistant. I like the screen a lot. Its made of very durable rubber and so I know its going to last through weather. The instructions werent clear and I had to figure out a few steps on my own. Crafted from 100% FSC-certified cedar lumber and powder-coated aluminum, this screen looks the same from both sides. We recommend applying a stain every 6 months to maintain optimal color. Transparent or semi-transparent exterior stains will maintain the natural wood look, while solid stains will cover more of the natural wood grain. If the product goes longer than recommended without staining, it will need to be sanded and may require a semi-solid or solid stain. Environmentally friendly, each kit comes with 2 panels to make a recommended right angle. Additional boxed sets can be purchased if you would like to create a bigger enclosure.
