This was way better quality than I expected. Our last one completely faded and got destroyed in the high humidity and direct sun. This one feels substantial and seems to be made of entirely weatherproof materials. Only time will tell. I ordered three of these lights - two to replace the old, ugly lights on each side of my garage, and one for outside the sliding glass door on the deck. They are such an improvement and make the whole house look updated. Had a problem with one of the lights on the garage - the glass was cracked off the base.
