An impressively polished and sturdy pole that has some heft. We used it as a ballet barre for pointe shoe fittings in our business. I could not be happier with the finished product. We had to trim the bar ever so slightly with a miter saw, but with the right blade (non-ferrous), we had no problem. While not employed to hang clothes, it would fulfill that purpose easily. Received quickly and in great condition. Will update review once installed. Update - Looks great! Installation was a little fussy, but that was because there were no studs where I needed to put the brackets. I had to get some drywall anchors and the local hardware store didn’t have any that the included screws would work with, so I had to get slightly smaller screws. The only difference is that the heads of the screws don’t fill the space in the brackets as well. It’s really not noticeable though, so not a big deal. Our contractor still has to install some trim underneath the bar and said he’ll fix the extra holes for me when he does that. My barstools are much more comfortable now that there’s a place to put my feet!. Karyl. VA. Thu Nov 21 2024

This handrail returns to the wall at a 90 degree angle on both ends to comply to ada wall return requirements. This handrail kit is made from powder coated aluminum to give a simple and elegant look that matches your modern décor. The handrail is made from 1.5” round aluminum stock tube to allow for comfortable daily use. The endcaps are machined from aluminum for an elegant return that protects your wall. The distance projection from the face of the handrail to the wall when installed is approximately 3.75 inches. High strength construction meets load requirements of 200lbs or more. The handrails are designed to have a minimum of 1.5" clearance from the wall to the back of the handrail to meet standard clearance code requirements (see images for technical dimensional drawing). Check your local zoning codes for all applicable compliance requirements. Matching stainless steel screws are included. The handrail brackets are designed to be mounted directly into wall studs.
