This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. This chair is amazing. I needed a small sofa and did not have any futon-type item in mind at all, but when I saw that this could be manipulated in so many ways, I thought it would be pretty handy - and attractive - and it is! I have a big 'golden sammy' dog and NO dog hair clings to it! BIG WIN. I got the gray color and it looks very rich, soft, and inviting. It's so easy to click it down to take a nap - and you have the option of having armrests up or down or sloped - just like the back. It's hilarious! This Futon and Mattress is a classic hardwood frame with mission style arms. This unique and versatile queen size futon sofa easily converts to a bed. This multifunctional piece of furniture can find a home in just about any type of room.

Fairly straightforward assembly. Delivery was very quick and easy. Only problem is that the mattress is very top heavy, and much more of it goes up and down than on the seat.
