I’ve been sleeping on this 12-inch gel memory foam mattress for a couple of weeks, and it’s been a pleasant surprise. It arrives rolled in an airtight plastic wrap, so I opened it up and let it expand for 72 hours before use. So far I love it. The first two nights I slept on it, it felt firm but this was on the floor because my bed frame hadn’t arrived yet. Once I installed on the platform bed, I noticed it was a bit more forgiving and true medium firmness. I put these two mattresses on Zinus bedframe. I used the cardboard box as support between the frame and these nice hybrid mattresses. Then, I added Bedbinder deluxe. I will add an 3” eggcrate then put back the mattress pad shown here. All of this so I can change beds from TwinXL to King and optimize sleep for my tenants. We recently got our son a new full size bed and so we were on a hunt for a full size mattress. His old one was a spring mattress and we knew we wanted to get him a memory foam one this time. We couldn’t decide on a firm or a medium one but this one was 10” so it was perfect height, and we gave it a try. We opened the box and let the mattress breathe for 24 hours before setting it on the bed frame. To my surprise this mattress was firmer than I want, so that is a plus!
