Beautiful, but it was incredibly difficult to assemble. I know a lot of people said it was easy, but as a young woman, I just didn't have the strength in my thumbs to insert all the tiny plastic pieces without it being excruciatingly painful in the end. I'm not saying that to scare you - just know what if you don't have strong hands, it can hurt. I was in tears in the end. I'd recommend getting someone to help you. Additionally, the long metal bar that's wedged into the headboard was not fitting and I had no idea why. I finally had to use a mallet to pound it into place. It's probably the hardest thing I've personally ever assembled due to the pain-factor. Once the bed was done, it was very solid and high-quality. It works perfectly fine as a twin-size day bed. If you're making it a king size, I'd recommend getting a twin-to-king mattress converter. That eliminates the painful gap in the middle. For extra comfort you can add a king-size mattress topper, but I didn't do that due to lack of storage space (if I had the space I wouldn't need the trundle bed). This works very well for the price, and the pop of cobalt blue was exactly what we were looking for. Several sets of houseguests have complimented it. Did a lot of research on daybeds, and this one checked off a lot of what I needed. This one can hold a good amount of weight vs. others, plus it takes 8in matress vs. 5 or 6. It also pops all the way up so it can be used as a split king. I scanned lots of reviews on others looking for one that I could use a 10in matress since adults would be using at times. I took a chance off others reviews and went with a 10in mattress, and it paid off. This bed works great with the 10in mattresses. I have just enough clearance, and the bed pulls out easily. We dont have carpet, so I dont know how that would play a role with pull out. Have not used as a split king yet but did by a bridge and velcro straps to secure the beds together just in case. Could see the weld marks but feels sturdy and comfortable and was easy to set up. Would have loved if it had the auto pop up but can be set up by one with just a little work.. Anonymous. Indiana. We needed a sturdy daybed for our summer home. The parts arrived quickly. The final product is beautiful and sturdy. The road there was very difficult. The hardware was labeled incorrectly, the instructions referred to wring parts. and the project took much longer than it should have.
