This is a standard patio retractable awning that is heavy-duty, fully assembled, DIY, and hand-crafted. Its manual operation includes a pre-installed gear (standard left-side crank). If it is a left motor operation, it will include a remote control, a pre-installed motor with a 12 ft. long black cord (120V outlet), and a manual override loop. If it is the right motor operation, it will include remote control, a pre-installed motor with a 12 ft. long black cord (120V outlet), and a manual override loop. A 5 ft. long crank handle/rocker arm to extend and retract the awning manually is included for both manual and motorized options. The framework is made out of beautiful commercial-grade steel and aluminum that is powder-coated for protection and rust resistance. The awnings' lateral arms are multi-chambered with dual stainless steel cables. The mounting brackets are powder-coated aluminum and the hardware is stainless steel, providing additional support to the durable frame. The awning fabric cover and valance are woven out of the Beauty-Mark branded 100% acrylic fabric and have resistant coatings to help (1) maintain its rich color while being exposed to harsh UV rays, (2) prevent mildew and soil buildup, and (3) maintain a water-resistant barrier allow for rain to roll off of the awning and not soak through the fabric. It is recommended that the awnings are used only during sunny weather and to avoid the use of the awning during poor weather conditions such as rain, snow, high winds, etc. The performance of awning is durable and can withstand high winds up to 35km/h. Very pleased with the awning. Fits the space just right. Assembly was not overly difficult but the instructions could have been a bit more detailed. I looked at several videos related to assembly of the out sunning awnings and even though they were not for this exact awning it helped immensely. I was able to do the complete assembly by myself but needed help to lift the awning into place on the brackets. I mounted the brackets in the rim joist between the first and second floors... as such I needed to purchase some lag screws as the anchors provided with the awning were suited more to mounting on brick or concrete. Our SunSetter awning is now installed and working perfectly. The order process, delivery and final product all met expectations. Our only disappointment was the fact that we were charged a $50 delivery fee. All Wayfair ads stress free delivery and yet we were charged $50. What’s up with that. The installed SunSetter, as of last night, works just fine. I like the upgrades since I bought the first one nearly fifteen years ago. Get the motor. Get the remote. Maybe even the wind sensor? I didn't get that. Always be mindful of the wind. My SunSetter is part of why my house is my home. I thought that sounded more mature than writing, I love my SunSetter.
