The cart arrived fully flat-packed with 0 pieces already put together, so building it was a significant process, even with construction experience. The doors are a bit off; they have a gap in the middle and sort of “crunch” on the sides when they open. The handles are also very low to the ground compared to the height of the cart. I do not suggest hanging mugs on the provided s-hooks. This cart is a good choice for the price point. If you aren’t looking to break the bank, but you also don’t want a flimsy piece of garbage, this is the one for you! It will serve its purpose as long as you are patient and good with a screwdriver.. Amazing kitchen island! True quality for a great price. This was rather easy to put together because a simple piece of good quality. All that’s needed is a drill and vice grips, and the screws are provided. The instructions are simple, because the construction requires little except for drilling screws in. The trickier part is getting the shelves in, because they are to be done last. They have to aligned properly so you don’t have a lopsided island, but once you fit the shelf into the tight squeeze of the legs it’s hard to visualize the exact spot of the pre drilled hole in the leg. I tried widening the opening with my drill and dabbing it with yellow chalk, but it’s still hard to see through the pre drilled hole in the shelf. I love this island so much. It has changed my whole kitchen as it looks so custom and built in. The wheels really roll so I put a thin rubber backed throw rug under it to keep it from moving. My only small complaint is I wish it had a support bracket in the middle of the drop leaf as I’m afraid my 8 year old and his friends are going to lean to hard on it and ruin the side brackets.. We wanted a small solid wood island for our narrow kitchen and this was perfect. When we unpacked it we noticed top was a little warped. Now that we’ve had it for a few weeks, the top is noticeably bowed toward the center lengthwise. I contacted Wayfair customer service to see if we could get a replacement top. They said it was over 30 days and couldn’t do anything. I asked if Wayfair could provide contact information for the manufacturer but they couldn’t do that either. The island arrived in perfect condition. I uncrated it in the garage at let it stay there to air out for a few days because it smelled freshly painted. It is just what I was looking for. There is plenty of storage between the two drawers and the bottom cabinet. The butcher block top looks great against the European Gray cabinet. I did change the knobs to match the ones on my kitchen cabinet. The piece is very sturdy...and it is made in the USA! We like this cart but the granite top is not secured to the bottom half of the island. Also, the cabinet doors don't close properly so we've tried to adjust the hinges and one side is fine but we can't seem to get the other side to close without the doors rubbing each other. We will most likely have to sand the doors down and paint. Other than the couple of issues we found, it's a fair product for the price.. Nita. Glen Ellyn, IL. Thu Feb 02 2017
