Easy to follow instructions. Took maybe an hour to assemble. Sturdy. I didn’t fasten to the wall. The back is open but it has a piece to brace the frame and make it more sturdy. I only added the separator to the one of the doors so. For reference, top pairs are women size 7.5 and kid’s size 1. The bottom is men size 10.5 and 11. It will only fit my husband’s size 13 without the separator and put them in sideways. We will just his shoes underneath. Very pretty. I’m happy I purchased it. Installation was easy and it’s very pretty in person. I don’t think the bench will support a lot of weight, as my 250lb husband sat on it and stated it did not feel very sturdy. Also, his size 11 shoes do not fit in the shoe storage. Bo issues holding size 6.5 shoes but I can’t imagine it would hold much larger sizes.
