This chair is very sturdy and the cushioning is thick and comfortable. I like that the mechanical parts are covered so that little fingers cannot get pinched. It glides very smoothly and quietly. I am really pleased with these glider chairs. They are very comfortable for both my tall husband and petite me. Like other reviewers mentioned, they are a bit challenging to assemble, but worth the effort. It was very important to me to not have any furniture leaving rust stains on my porch, like my last set.
