I am sure that there are people that are more builder savvy than I that wouldn’t have had as much trouble as I did, but I ultimately had to find a video online of someone building this desk and watch it 15 times before I was able to complete it. In my honest opinion, I like the desk, however the instructions they sent aren't the best, and there are holes in the pieces drilled that you don't need which makes it confusing during assembly. The shelf is lightweight and beautiful, however it does differ from the pictures in terms of color. It is alot lighter than the pictures show it to be. The shelves all have the holes needed for the top piece in every shelf and it the boards are alot thinner than they looked in the photos. The screws were sent some mismatched and corroded already and the shelf with the opening door is loose so it wobbles and thunks when you walk by it, i am going to get some magnets or hooks to correct that myself. It is a nice piece and it does the job. However it wasn't worth the price in my opinion. I have paid less for better quality desks/shelves. So much better-looking in person, which is the opposite of what I thought I’d say! This desk achieves a subtlety I didn’t expect for the price—the legs are dark grey, not black, and the surface is very light grey, not white. I figured the description was an attempt to market it well, but it was actually accurate. Been using it daily for 2 mos and am surprised by the durability. It's not shaky at all, and the surface shows no signs of wear. I haven't been folding the desk, so can't say whether that would impact my assessment. Also: this thing is totally sturdy, free of flaws, & came impeccably packed. Zero setup or tools. I wish the table edges were a little rounded, but I knew what I was getting into—price and portability were my main concerns.
