Pretty substantial and a bit heavy but not to point you can’t move it around. I think it’s because it’s reinforced and can hold up to a 330 lbs person. The color is beautiful and the detachable cushion looks like it can easily be washed. It glides easily back and forwards. There are two locking ring mechanisms just under each hand rest that don’t seem to work well. Maybe I received a defective one however , it doesn’t make a difference. I think I like that it doesn’t lock, I like to jump up when I’m ready and if locked in recline position, it would probably annoy me! The headrest cushion is on a heavy duty thick elastic band and easily moves up and down to the position that suits you and it stays in place once positioned. Overall a great deck or beach chair. The only reason I gave a four instead of a five is that the trays on the ends are very cheap feeling and flimsy. I do not expect that they will last long.
