Set up was fine . Please note that you can just plug into an electrical outlet . You do not need to “hard wire it” as the description says. It is easy. However, the unit has a defect! The fake copper lip that the water falls from is NOT LEVEL ! Therefore the waterfall will never be like the picture in a nice V fall. I wired the lights into my existing low voltage patio lights for convenience as it comes with separate cords for the pump and lights. I like the sculptural presentation and ease if set up. I purchased this model for placement near my bird feeders to provide water and bathing options for the birds. It replaces a bird bath that gets too hot and stagnant during summer months. I like the large basin. It’s rained every day since set up so I haven’t had a chance to find out if the water will remain cool enough to entice the birds. I painted the basin white to help keep the water from getting too hot. I’m not pleased that maintaining the pumpcleaning requires removing the sculpture top to access the internal tank but other than this minor issue I love it. Set up a little while ago layers snap but don’t seem very tight. Its much louder streaming than I thought, tried adjusting pump but haven’t gotten it to sound smoother trickling. The top bubbler is very wobbly. All in all the fountain looks nice just need to tweak the pump I guess. Not very easy to adjust the pump sine it’s enclosed.
