Modern Decorative Rubber Bumper Stops Holder Wall Protector

I bought and installed three of these Baldwin Gooseneck Bumper Floor Stops to use in preventing three custom made heavy steel doors from slamming into the adjacent walls. I was very pleased with the simplicity and heft of these floor stops, but have two observations prospective future buyers should take into account. One is the item is only 2 inches tall. This might be sufficiently high for a standard interior door, but the bottom of many exterior doors will be too tall for such a short stop because they are made to fit over high thresholds with deep door shoes for improved weather resistance. I had to raise the height of the stops 1/2 inch using plastic shims shaped and drilled to be compatible with the stops. The second observation is that the installation is not so easy if you want to install them on a concrete floor. I compliment Baldwin for providing all the necessary hardware to install on both wood and concrete floors, however, for concrete floors you will need a hammer drill, specialty 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch concrete bits (probably SDS bits), and more than the ordinary amount of experience and ability with the installation of concrete wedge anchors. Unfortunately, Baldwin does not provide any installation instructions, either in the box or on their website. I will say that I'm happy with the product, now that I have them installed - solid and sturdy.. Anonymous. Overton, NV. Mon Nov 13 2017

I love the size colour and contents of this rug. I love the purchase protection that you can get with it as well. The one thing I’m struggling with is there’s little sticks woven in most of the loops, which I thought initially would vacuum off, but I’m not able to get them all, and if you sit and pick, which you’d have to do every single little ball of wool, it wrecks the loop and causes shedding :(. A door that swings shut on its own, or slams back into the wall, is a small daily irritation that most homes simply live with. This mushroom door stop from Evideco French Home Goods solves it with weight rather than hardware, and does it with a shape worth leaving out in the open. The cap is cut from ribbed corduroy in rust and finished with a woven herringbone trim; the stem below is cotton canvas in a soft cream. Inside, a fill of 90 percent sand and 10 percent fabric brings the piece to 2.3 lb, heavy enough to hold an interior door where you set it, light enough to nudge into place with a foot. Nothing screws into the floor, nothing sticks to the door, and no tools are needed. You set it down at the base of the door and it holds, stopping the swing before the handle reaches the wall and keeping paint and drywall unmarked. Every surface that touches your home is fabric, so hardwood, tile and painted doors stay as they were. At home in a bedroom, a nursery, a home office, or a hallway, it reads as a woodland object rather than a piece of door hardware.
