Our Modern Hardwood Black Walnut Shelves feature new wood, sealed with a furniture-grade clear coat. This protects the wood while allowing the intricate grain patterns to show through, and highlighting the naturally occurring patterns and colors. Shelves are available in 24", 36", and 48" widths and come with our Low Profile Brackets and all mounting hardware. Our Low Profile Brackets provide a flush, floating shelf appearance while allowing the shelves to support significant amounts of weight when installed per the included instructions. Please note that the brackets must be mounted directly into wall studs. Each shelf is glued and screwed to a substantial 11” depth, making them deep enough to provide excellent storage space. These were delivered today, they came early. Unfortunately they are for my new house that I have not moved into yet. So, I will attempt to write a review based on opening the package and seeing the shelves. First, review of packaging…not so great. I feel it could have been better. These shelves are beautiful wood and are pretty deep. I love the color as well. I wanted something to put plants on and they are solid holding a lot of weight. I had a bit of trouble putting them up because the studs in my wall weren't spaced right they were to far apart to hit two studs. I ended up using one stud and 4 drywall anchors. The shelves are solid wood, but not a single piece of solid wood. Rather, each shelf in the shelf set I received has two pieces of wood glued together.
