This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. This is a great futon style mattress. The frame is not included and I did not buy a frame for it but it comes with the slots so a frame can easily slide through the cover. I bought it soecifi to slide u set the bed and pull out for when my daughter had sleep overs so her friends can sleep on it and it works perfect for that. I have family members who visit and bring their yound kids, and it's perfect for putting on the floor so the kids can stay in the room with their parents. It sits pretty low to the ground but can be folded several ways to make it into a loveseat, sleeper chair, sofa bed or put on a futon as the mattress. Very nice folding mat (bed). I purchased the twin size. Good quality and the design and color are very nice. It’s cozy and not too firm. Has a nice softness to it but not too soft. Assembly wasn’t too hard to understand like others are making it seem, just gotta use your brain. The hardest part was fitting into tight corners to tighten some of the camber bolts and whatnot. I'm very happy with this bed. It slides away and unfolds very easily. It took a long time to put together, but the instructions were very clear and every piece lined up perfectly. It looks great in my room. I also bought a 6" folding mattress to go in it. I haven't tried to put it away in the cabinet yet, but when I measure, there appears to be plenty of room for it.. Linda.
