I actually drilled holes in the wood on top of my pool fence and set them through the holes about 6 feet apart and on either side of the gateway ,instead of putting them in the ground, and it looks really cool at night. Love this set of outdoor lights! They’re very easy to put up, especially if you’re replacing lights. They seem very sturdily built -made very well. The color of the metal on the lights is very neutral , so it will go with anything. I wanted to be different and not just choose black. The glass on the lights seem to be seeded. We did not turn them on yet because it is daytime, but I’m assuming once we turn them on , the seeding in the glass will make the reflection really nice. I will try to add an additional picture later when I take a picture at night. They are a great size and look really nice on either side of our sliding glass back door. Edit despite being cheaply made they really do put off a nice flame like glow. For that we love them. One was broken when I opened the package. They are very cheaply made. They are charging in the sun. Ill know soon how the lighting is. I recently ordered 2 other types of solar lights and paid about half of what these cost. What a stunning upgrade to our outdoor patio lighting! The features are what originally got our attention when shopping. The motion sensor and dusk to dawn features are exactly what we were looking for. We have dogs that have 24 hour access to the patio through a doggie door, so now when they run out in the evening their path is well lit. This set even allows you to set the brightness of the light, so it remains on and dim in the evening after sunset until motion is detected, then it brightens up; flooding the area in a brighter light.
