This gate is amazing! My dog is terrible about going upstairs and getting on the girls beds. We were struggling to find an attractive looking gate that was wide enough for our large stairs (and black!!! Its not brown). The gate is designed so it stays how you put it. You can stretch it or shrink it as much as desired and it just stays. I love that it slides rather than opens and closes with a door. It makes it much more versatile and compact. It comes with the option to put legs on it that can either roll or pegs to make it stationary. We did not use them because they are too wide for the stairs. This gate is awesome. This product feature self-closing and manual-close functionality with simple tension adjustments. It's the perfect solution for a balanced gate.

Hinges are strong and work well, they do have a little play in them so even if you level the doorgate they are attached to perfectly, expect a small bit of sag once tension goes on them. This is not what was described and I'm so frustrated. The slats are plastic. The bottom part that goes into the ground isn't like the picture at all. It's a tiny plastic, not sharp point you stick on the metal pole at the end like a cap. I can't get it to go deep enough in the ground. The main reason I got this because it was spiked at the end and was supposed to be metal. I can't take the whole thing apart to return it. I bought 2 sets and am out $260. Beautiful panels, they make a super stylish setup. I purchased 6 of them for my deck, they arrived w/o scratches or hits on 2 per box arrangement, very well packaged. Now, these panels are made of some sort of wood, it is hard but easy to drill on, I used a 1/8th countersink bit with a tapper and fixed them to the side of my deck using #8 x 1 1/2" construction screws. They are about 3/8" thick, so I added a 0.665 x 1" vinyl strip behind it, to make it flush with the siding of the decking material which is 1". I also added some black landscape fabric behind to give the depth of the openings on the design and prevent bugs from entering. The result is a very unique deck which we love. Instructions say that the wood will age to gray naturally, I like it dark brown as it is, so I'll be adding some matte clear coat to prevent the aging process.
