I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. They worked very well as a wind break. They definitely had to be secured well to keep them in place. They look very nice and add to the look of our deck instead of taking away. I compared these from many places and decided to buy from Wayfair because of cost, and Ive bought from Wayfair many times before (and have had hot and miss experiences, but if I actually get the item, it has been fine). The biggest problem is that I think the reddish brown color just does not exist. I got what looks like the brown color. The boxes say reddish brown, but that is clearly not what they are. I saw reviews elsewhere that said the same thing. I paid more for the color I wanted and didnt get it. I was leased with how sturdy and attractive these were when built. Simple assembly, though the number of bolts and connections was a bit hard on my hands. The bolts and nuts were just in between standard ratchet tools, so you couldn't take a shortcut there. One odd thing was that of the two I bought, one came with black fasteners and one with silver. I'd have preferred the black for both, but it would be difficult to tell the difference in the way I have them placed. Overall very happy with it. The privacy screens arrived yesterday and I opened one of the boxes today. There are 3 panels per screen to fasten together, and the legs to attach. Hardware was provided, as were the instructions. This screen measures 73.5" H x 37.625" W making it ideal to partition off outdoor and indoor living spaces such as patios, decks, backyards, pools, large rooms, and more! This screen is freestanding or can be surface mounted. To surface mount this screen on concrete, you will have to purchase (4) 1/4" concrete wedge anchors that are 2 1/4” in length. To surface mount on wood, you will have to purchase (4) 1/4” lag screws that are 3” in length. Each Sierra Wood Privacy Screen Kit comes unassembled with 1 panel. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for the assembly of one panel and 60 minutes for the surface mount. This screen is made from our premium 100% FSC-certified wood. We are proud to offer products made from sustainably managed forest plantations. For staining, painting, and screen upkeep, we suggest staining this product every 6 months to maintain optimal color.
