Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright. I looked at so many chandeliers to find the right one to replace the old dark amethyst crystal chandelier that was hanging in our house when we bought it 13 years ago. We needed something simple and airy, and I was drawn to this fixture because of that. I ordered during Way Days, so it was a great buy. I put it together myself while watching TV with my daughter. It was like doing a puzzle! The electrician removed the old fixture and installed this one (with a medallion from a local hardware store that I painted with ceiling paint). Installed six LED chandelier bulbs, and it is very bright! Love the little metal details around the candlesticks. The center decoration isn't wood, but really, really looks like wood.
