Faberge Egg Trinket Box

I just received this Faberge Egg Trinket Box, this afternoon, delivered by FEDEX ground delivery services. The egg is inset with Swarovski Crystals, a gold braided basket pattern with a ribbon pattern and there are 2 small locket windows on either side of the ribbon bow, one with a picture of Tzar Nicholas, the last Tzar of Russia and the other being Her Royal Highness, Tzarina Alexandria Queen Consort of Tzar Nicholas who was also the daughter, or grand-daughter of HM Queen Victoria of England from 1837 to 1903. I received my Renaissance Faberge Style Enameled Egg Couleur Rose, just this afternoon, delivered by FEDEX ground delivery services. The rose enamel finish has almost a pearl-like patina to it and the crystal settings add that extra bling. The egg reminds me of ornately decorative objects that once could be found in George IV era manor houses in England and continental European residences of the wealthy and royal in France, Austria and Russia. Both of these exquisite enamel eggs are skillfully rendered in the style made famous by the House of Romanov's imperial jeweler for Russian nobility. A wax sculpture is made and cast in pewter using the ancient lost wax method. Then the brilliant purple and green enamel, faux jewels and tiny embellishments are added, giving these quality works of art their imitable character and ornamentation. I just received this Enameled Egg Faberge Style Fleur-de-Lis piece, this afternoon, delivered by FEDEX ground delivery services. It is a beautiful piece which harkens back to the time of King Charles II of England when a new set of Coronation Regalia had to be made for his coronation. The piece looks like it would fit right in to the new pieces that make up the Regalia. The royal lions, that make up the base and support the egg, provide just that extra over the top detail that makes the piece stand out.
