Fabulous and easy to install. However, package should have come with instructions on how the blinds work. I couldn’t figure out how they go up and down and thought that perhaps a string needed to be cut. Fortunately, I didn’t snip anything and just pulled down on them realizing that they go up and down with a simple pull and push of the hand. I saw another person in review s had snipped the cable, rendering them useless. The color brings a lot of warmth to my gray kitchen. I’ve gone ahead and ordered two more for bedrooms.. Christine. Simple Stuff Cordless Room Darkening Roman Shade It's a nice heavy shade, retracts smoothly. Negatives are: It took weeks with the ionizer air cleaner running to get the odor knocked down enough to be in the same room!!! Not sure how to describe the smell. As other reviewers have said the plastic part you put on to pull the shade down is as close to impossible to get it on. After finding a way to squeeze it open some I wondered if the other side was the way to do it since there was just fabric at first to slide it onto or if the hard part it goes on had slid to the other side when I was struggling. You can just tug the bottom without the finger holder pull down and it would work fine. Get rid of the smell before shipping and it would be a super great choice.. Anonymous. Prineville, OR. Installation was incredibly easy—it literally took me no more than a couple of minutes. The shade is exactly as described, but seeing it in person exceeded my expectations.
