When searching for a bed, I specifically wanted one with a taller headboard that would still be visible when the bed is made and could accommodate a box spring—this bed is perfect for that. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. This is the dark gray version of the bed. It was very easy to assemble and everything lined up perfectly. If it didn’t, I’m sure they would’ve been able to replace it without much of an issue. It shipped very quickly, and there was no smell coming out of the box. The price is absolutely outstanding for the quality of the material.
