Terrific 100 percent cotton mattress protector! It fit like a glove and is padded with the softest cotton. It is difficult to find a mattress protector that is not made of some type of plastic. I understand people want the plastic to protect from spills. I did not want that. I simply wanted something more other than a thin sheet right against my new mattress. I was simply concerned about sweat going through the sheet and, over time, creating a mattress that may not be as "fresh." This mattress cover is the perfect solution! Well-sewn and crafted. And of course, Mayfair has super deals and this mattress protector was a super deal. You can't go wrong with this. My new mattress will always stay fresh now and for many years to come!. Stephanie. Great mattress pad! It came very well packaged in a condensed airtight container. We just purchased a new home and it sat in the garage waiting for me to arrive for several weeks – when opened smelled just as fresh as it would would’ve if I had opened it on day one. While I wondered if it was too thick, I figured I would try it prior to making any decisions. It was such a great additional padding. What a great buy! I placed the twin XL on top of an expensive mattress we bought that was sold to us by mattress firm, ended up being a fake medium (sales person assured us that it is in between plush and medium - it landed me in ER as a small built person who basically had me sleeping on a brick as far as my body is concerned resulted in musculoskeletal pain. I was told to sleep on it and it will get softer.) This mattress topper is an answer to my prayer - guided via an AI question and was provided as one of the 3 best options for my situation.
