For the best fit, order by the actual duct opening size, not by the size of your existing cover. Adding the crawl space flood vent to foundation walls provides a means that permit the automatic entry and exit of floodwaters which protects your foundation and reduces your flood risk. It may lead to a much lower insurance premium for your home. This foundation flood vent is surface mounted over the foundation opening and is usable in crawl spaces, garages, and full height enclosures.

To measure your size correctly, remove the existing vent cover and measure the size of the duct. The duct opening size is what should be ordered. The Ribbon grille is a resin (polyurethane) decorative vent cover that is light in weight yet sturdy and strong. Grilles are unfinished and ready for you to primer and paint to achieve the perfect color for your setting. Each grille is made using a casting process that allows for a three-dimensional look. Grilles will not rust and are not prone to corrosion which makes them excellent for high-humidity areas and dry areas alike. Ribbon grilles are flat on the back and have no inserts. Grilles should not be used on the floor and are only for wall and ceiling applications for central air conditioning and heating systems. The Madelyn Carter Vintage Baseboard Registers are available in 2 Sizes: 15" x 12" and 13" x 12", 2.5" deep at the base and 1" at the top. Comes in two pieces (sold as one unit) a baseboard frame and register insert (with damper). Simply mount the frame to your wall using the provided 3" screws and then install the insert with damper using the two 1/2" screws.

This vent cover looks really nice in my newly renovated bathroom. It is quite stylish and complements the other gold fixtures in the room. My reason for only rating it 4 stars is that it was missing the vent mounting clips and instructions when it arrived. While Wayfair sent the clips several days later, I feel it never should have been sent without them. It's almost perfect for where I put it. I have a very high (~12') octagonal window in my bedroom, and it's impossible to find a shade that's right for it. But the sun shines in that window right in my eyes and wakes me up at 6am every morning, so I wanted to cover that window without making it look ridiculous. I have white plantation shutters on the lower windows, so it looks nice with those. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because there was a choice between "functional" and "non-functional" versions of this cover, but the terms weren't defined. I assumed they meant that functional has moving slats, and non-functional was slats that don't move. So I ordered the functional version to be sure I could close them all the way But what they meant was that functional has holes between the slats (for allowing airflow in an attic, I guess), and non-functional is solid - no holes. I should have gotten the non-functional version, because it would have blocked all the light. But I couldn't wait another day to get rid of that early morning light, so I just installed it right away and started getting the benefit of blocked light in the morning.
