Sturdy. Very low, as described. 1 star was removed because of the instructions. If it were sold in a furniture store, 5 stars! But it's Wayfair and instructions are important. The assembly instructions were Horr-i-ble. Either you should pay someone to assemble it, or you better be REALLY good and patient with bad instructions. Good luck!
