This bunkbed is really nice looking and solid and a great bargain. The bed gets 5 stars. HOWEVER, assembly was an atrocious process and would earn negative stars. None of the parts were labeled. Each piece had multiple patterns of holes on several sides and trying to line them up facing the proper way was a process. The instructions are almost nonexistent- just very small pictures with confusing arrows everywhere. Once everything was lined up appropriately it really wasn’t hard to put together but labels and written instructions would make a huge difference. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. We been using this bunk bed for some weeks now in my kids room and overall i feel good about it. The wood feel strong and not cheap, which i worry before honestly. It come with slats so no box spring needed, that was nice and save extra hassle. Assembly take time, not hard but many parts so patience needed, my husband help me and still took afternoon. The drawers under bed are very useful, we put toys and some clothes there, room look more clean now. Ladder feel secure and guardrails are high enough, my son move a lot when sleep so this make me calm. There is slide too, kids love it a lot, they play every morning like small park. Mattress need be around 6 inch, we use that and fit fine. Later we like that it can split into two beds if kids grow. Only small thing, instructions little confusing but doable. Overall good choice.. I love the bed feels sturdy and the kids love it. I do not like the stairs to straight, a complete scary death trap, scary trying to get down. So no little ones up there. I was not happy about shipping especially when I paid extra for it to arrive fast. Wayfair was responsive on helping me solve the issues so communication was on point. The assembly went decently well. My DIL put it together with my granddaughter holding pieces once in awhile. Took about 8 hours. Hint: do not tighten down until it is assembled, including the ladder. Update: They still love the bed, and I thought i'd add a picture. The wood is more like a rustic whitewash. It doesn't look as well as the picture and who ever shipped it, left it in the rain. The box was falling apart, and luckily I found it and took every piece in by hand, and dried them off. No damage done, but It was unnecessary to leave it like that in the rain when they could have left it next door at my parent's who have an over covering on their porch. Both DIL and granddaughter got on top bunk. It felt sturdy and didn't move around. We did get a bunky board for top because mattress is foam. The girls love it and are having fun putting their dolls and stuffys around. Very unhappy with delivery. Boxes falling apart. Fed ex stood one up at bottom of deck stairs. We are having g sporadic thunder storms. No plastic was place around packages, so the box fell apart and all the wooden pieces fell and were rained on. I had a mess! I had to remove one piece at a time into home and dry it off. It took a couple people a few hours dealing with two wet opened boxes. The bed was poorly packaged and fed ex left a mess!
