That being said, it was not easy to put together in terms of the time commitment. The directions and numbering of the pieces is great. This elegant bookshelf is a perfect blend of style and functionality. With a sleek arched top and a rich wood finish, it adds a touch of sophistication to any room. The cabinet features unique rattan panels on the doors, complemented by rose - gold handles. Inside, there's a height - adjustable shelf for customizable storage, along with fixed shelves to display decor or books. A thickened top plate and anti - collapse device ensure durability, while adjustable footpads offer stability.

Overall, the wall units look nice in our living room (we bought two). Each took my wife and I about two hours to assemble. Instructions were thorough, but you really need to be careful and double check every step. After we completed the assembly, we noticed that the part eight and nine (middle) shelves were installed upside down on one of the units. Also, the round stickers provided to cover the locking screws are very flimsy. They are just sticky paper that has very little surface area with which to adhere. We ended up using Elmer’s glue to keep them down. Other than the shelf inside the cabinet, none of the other shelves are adjustable. The bookcase fits the space perfectly, it is tall and narrow. Still trying to determine what fits on each of the shelves as it does not actually fit hardcover books upright, which is the only negative. I can place the books on their side but can’t fit as many. Got a pair to hold board games. Yes, they are metal (but could you expect wood this thin to be strong?) and are about the right size. Easy to put together for the most part, and I had no trouble getting holes to line up, but they do tend to rock/wobble just a bit. And there is a LOT of bright brass hardware that shows on the sides.
