The bed is sturdy, and the fabric is good quality, this is the Shantung Pearl. The corners do not meet as perfectly as I would like, perhaps additional bolts at the top and bottom would help. I also ordered the 7 inch box spring which allows the mattress to sit just above the upholstered sides which allows for easy bed making and a nice look if you decide to tuck in your comforter..
